I'VE BOOKED MY CRUISE -- NOW WHAT?

You will receive a confirmation from The Travel Co. by mail within 2 weeks of making your reservation. This confirmation will contain your Reservation Number with Royal Caribbean as well as your stateroom number. Please read your confirmation carefully.Pay special attention to the spelling of each name on the confirmation and notify The Travel Co. immediately if there are any mistakes. 

Your confirmation will also show the balance remaining on your account.  By making your deposit, you acknowledge and authorize The Travel Co. to apply the remaining balance of your account to the credit card on file with The Travel Co. to be charged the week of August 14, 2007.  If you would like the balance to be applied to another credit card, you must notify The Travel Co. before August 11, 2007.

On the bottom of your confirmation, you will see a credit card authorization showing the amount of your deposit/payment and the date it was charged to your credit card.  Please sign the authorization where indicated and return to The Travel Co. by mail to Miss America At Sea, The Travel Co., PO Box 447, Irmo, SC 29063 or by fax to 803-749-3564.

The Travel Co. will send emails periodically to the guest registered as the contact person for the cabin.  It is their responsibility to communicate with the passengers they are sharing a cabin with.  Also, please visit www.MissAmericaAtSea.com often for news and updates.


IS TRAVEL INSURANCE AVAILABLE FOR THE CRUISE?

Yes, trip insurance is available from Access America through The Travel Co. and we strongly recommend it for your protection and peace of mind.  You may call The Travel Co. or click on the link to Access America on this site and book online.  Insurance for cancellation is basically for medical reasons, work reasons may be added.  The insurance also includes medical insurance, emergency evacuation insurance, baggage insurance and a 24-hour Help Hotline.


WILL MISS AMERICA BE ON THE CRUISE?

Yes!  Lauren Nelson, Miss America 2007,  as well as many State Title Holders and other dignitaries will be onboard the ship for the entire duration of the cruise.  In addition, past Miss America's have been invited.  There will be many opportunities to interact with Miss America, the State Title Holders and other dignitaries on board.

Miss America 2007 will attend the Miss America Cruise and stay aboard the Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas subject to the following, which shall relieve the 2007 Miss American, MAO, Royal Caribbean International and The Travel Co. from liability.

  1. The death or life threatening illness of the Miss America 2007 or of an immediate member of the Miss America 2007's family.
  2. Documentable emergency, injury or other incapacity of Miss America 2007.
  3. Inclement weather, which unreasonably interferes with Miss America 2007's ability to safely reach the location or destination of the Cruise within the date(s) and time(s) of the cruise.
  4. Mechanical or technical difficulties with the means of transportation; and
  5. An Act of God.

Should any of these situations arise, the cancellation penalties and conditions contained on this website will continue to be in force.


WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY CRUISE DOCUMENTS?

Your E-Docs cruise documents will be sent to the cabin contact person approximately 2 weeks prior to sailing by email.  It will be necessary for you to receive your luggage tags at the pier prior to check-in.  Please see a ROYAL CARIBBEAN PORTER for your tags.


MY TRAVEL COMPANION IS NOT INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE MISS AMERICA AT SEA PROGRAM.  IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR NOT PARTICIPATING?

No, because this is a special group, there are no discounts if you choose not to participate. There are many special amenities with this group so therefore we are unable to provide a discount.


CAN I USE COUPONS I HAVE FROM THE CRUISE LINE FOR A DISCOUNT?

No, coupons cannot be used for this group.


HOW DO I BOOK SHORE EXCURSIONS WITH ROYAL CARIBBEAN?

The Travel Co. may offer special Shore Excursions for the Miss America at Sea  group that can only be reserved through The Travel Co. (watch for more information soon) however, Royal Caribbean offers many for each port of call. WHAT IS ROYAL CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL'S AGE POLICY?

No guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be booked in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age, or older. This age limit will be waived for minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms or under-aged married couples (proof of marriage is required). Royal Caribbean International reserves the right to ask for proof of age. Royal Caribbean International's age policy for gambling and consumption of alcoholic beverages is as follows: Please note: An individual's age on the date of sailing determines his or her status for the entire cruise vacation.


ALCOHOL POLICY

The minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages for Caribbean cruise on all Royal Caribbean International ships is 21.

Guests are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports of call or from onboard shops will be stored by the ship and delivered to guest staterooms on the last day of the sailing. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Royal Caribbean's Guest Vacation Policy may be enforced, up to and including disembarkation, if a guest violates any alcohol policy. Guests under the age of 21 will not have alcohol returned to them.

Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under age 21, demonstrate irresponsible behavior, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense, in accordance with our Guest Vacation Policies.

Royal Caribbeanreserves the right to revoke or otherwise restrict drinking privileges of any guest, regardless of age.


GAMBLING POLICY

Guests eighteen (18) years of age and older are welcome to play in our casinos (for all Alaskasailings, guests must be 21 years of age in order to play in our casinos).


ARE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED FACILITIES AVAILABLE ONBOARD?

Yes, all ships have physically challenged facilities as well as a select number of cabins for physically challenged guests.  Please call us if you should require one of these cabins.


WHAT ARE THE DRESS CODES ONBOARD?

There are three distinct types of evenings onboard: casual, smart casual and formal. Suggested guidelines for these nights are:

  • Casual: Sport shirts and slacks for men, sundresses or pants for women

  • Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men, dresses or pantsuits for women

  • Formal: Suits and ties or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses for women

4 night cruises include one formal night, one smart casual night and the remainder nights casual.  In addition, Halloween will be in costume and all participants are encouraged to bring a costume with them and be in costume for the cocktail party and dinner.

We appreciate your usual parental guidance and cooperation in observing these easy guidelines with your children.


WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Bring casual, comfortable clothing.  Shoes should be low-heeled for deck activities, bring a few swimsuits (so you'll always have a dry one).  Ashore you'll need comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots as well as a hat and sunscreen for protection from the sun.

We recommend that you hand-carry all travel documents (passports, airline tickets, etc.) medications, and any personal items that you may need. Please do not put these items into checked luggage as they may become lost and prevent you from boarding the ship. Also, luggage may take a few hours before it is delivered to your cabin.


CAN I BRING MY OWN LIQUOR, BEER OR WINE ONBOARD?

Guests are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports-of-call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to guest staterooms on the last day of the sailing.

ARE ATM MACHINES AVAILABLE ONBOARD?

All ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet have ATM machines. There is a transaction fee up to $5.50 plus any other fees the guests financial institution would charge.


WHAT TYPE OF SPECIAL MEALS DOES ROYAL CARIBBEAN OFFER?

Royal Caribbean International makes every effort to accommodate our guests' dietary requirements whenever possible.  Special needs such as, Food Allergies, Gluten-free, Vegetarian (except for vegan/macrobiotic) Low-fat, Low-Sodium, lactose-free/Soy Milk, Ensure, and Kosher meals are available at no extra charge.  Please notify The Travel Co.with any special dietary needs.


WHAT IS ROYAL CARIBBEAN'S SMOKING POLICY?

For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, smoking is prohibited onboard most areas of the ship. However, to provide an onboard environment that also satisfies smokers, special designated smoking areas are available in many lounges and on all open-air decks.
